The Albany Business Review provided an update on the former Doane Stuart School site after Bill Brandow let Albany's Director of Buildings and Regulatory Compliance know about vandalism, looting and unsafe conditions there.
Pictures and video he provided showed that aluminum-frame windows and copper roof flashing have been removed and that concrete has been poured to build skateboard ramps in a drained in-ground pool. According to the article, "Brandow questions the commitment that Guild Ventures LLC has for the property ... 'If somebody thinks they can build a skateboard park there it's clear no one is keeping an eye on things, at least from the owner's side,' Brandow said." Read the article as a PDF.
